Wayne Waters Jr., beloved husband, dedicated father and grandfather, passed away suddenly on June 11, 2024, in Wharton, TX. Born on August 9, 1946, in Houston to the late Wayne Waters, Sr and Clara Bialas Waters.
Wayne served our country honorably in the US Air Force continuing a family tradition of serving our nation. He spent his years honing his craft as a John Deere lawn mower mechanic and a bus driver for Boling ISD, bringing joy and laughter to all those he encountered. Wayne's dedication to his work and his love for tinkering on projects and watching movies filled his days with purpose and joy. His spirited debates with his son, Justin, were often the highlight of his day, showcasing his sharp wit and intelligence. Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Waters of Wharton, son, Justin, and daughter-in-law Stephanie and grandchildren, Chris, Alexander and Raylan Waters. Along with many family members and friends and all the children he transported with dedication and care over the years.
A celebration of Wayne's life and service will be held on June 17, 2024, at 10 a.m. at Wharton Funeral Home. A Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton, Tx.
