Virginia Saldierna Hernandez

Virginia Saldierna Hernandez, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2024, in East Bernard, TX at the age of 68. She was born on December 26, 1955, in Tuzas Alaquines, San Luis Potosi Mexico to the late Rafael Saldierna Martinez and Sotera Hernandez Delgado.

Virginia was a devoted wife to her husband Rosalio, and a loving mother to her daughters Esmeralda and Nohemi, and her sons Adolfo and Roman. She found immense joy in her role as a grandmother to Kelly, Ronan, Ross, Rhett, Rielly, and Rynlee. Family was everything to Virginia, and being a grandmother was her favorite role in life. 

In her free time, Virginia loved to cook for her family, spend time outdoors with her farm animals, and tend to her garden. She had a special passion for horses, rodeos, and the outdoors. Her caring nature extended beyond her family, as she was known for her delicious catering and caring for children as a sitter.

Virginia is survived by her husband of 52 years, Rosalio Hernandez Saldierna of East Bernard, daughters Esmeralda Hernandez and husband, Hipolito of Mexico and Nohemi Hernandez and husband, Virgil of East Bernard; sons, Adolfo Hernandez and wife, Luz of Jacksonville, Florida and Roman Hernandez and wife, Cathryn of East Bernard. Virginia is also survived by her grandchildren, Kelly Hernandez Kubala and husband, Kaid of San Antonio, Ronan Antao, Ross Antao, Rhett Hernandez, Rielly Antao, Rynlee Hernandez and nephew Alejandro Carreon Saldierna all of East Bernard.

A visitation will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Church on May 10, 2024, at 9:00 am followed by a Rosary recited at 9:30 am.  A Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am at Holy Cross Catholic Church in East Bernard with Father Charles Ostiwah officiating.  A second visitation will follow the mass starting at 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.   These services will honor and celebrate the life of Virginia Saldierna Hernandez. May she rest in peace.  A Burial will take place at a later date in Tuzas, Alaquines, San Luis Potosi Mexico.
