Veda "Cindy" Konvicka, 68, passed away on August 29, 2025. She was born on June 12, 1957, to the late Coy and Viva Mitchell. In addition to her parents, Cindy was preceded in death by her first husband, Greg Morris, and her sister, Teresa Meier.

Cindy was born in Hobbs, New Mexico, but came to Texas as soon as she could. She attended Danbury High School and Brazosport College. Cindy had numerous jobs throughout her life, including Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Wharton County Junior College, Fort Bend Independent School District, Rath Plumbing and Dillard's.

Following her first husband who died from cancer, she married Michael Lee Konvicka on January 31, 1998, and they were happily married for 27 years.

Cindy enjoyed reading, embroidery, watching soap operas and the History Channel, and going to church.

Cindy is survived by her husband, Michael Konvicka, sister Nelma Lemaster, sister June Dobbs, and brother Joe Lyons and nieces Wendi Peavy and Amanda Jakubec.

Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. on September 5,2025 at College Heights Baptist Church in Wharton Texas .  Funeral services will follow at 10 am. Pallbearers will be Russell Sabrsula, Randall Sabrsula, Rodney Sabrsula, Bud Meier, Bennett Peavy, and Scott Jakubec. Honorary pallbearer was Cecil Veselka.
