TP Gordon Peikert

TP Gordon Peikert, 89, of Egypt, Texas passed away on April 23, 2026. He was born October 25, 1936 in Bonus, Texas to parents Jim Peikert and Leona Lewis Peikert. Gordon and his loving wife Margie, who he met at Bonus Baptist Church, were married for 64 years and built their life in Egypt, Texas.

Gordon was many things to many people. He was a son, brother, husband, father and grandfather to his family. As well a great friend to everyone. He was also a veteran, farmer, pilot, tour guide for many vacations in the motorhome and captain of his own fishing/shrimping/floundering boat. Gordon had the capability to fix most anything. Most of the time with just a “tap and blow”.

Gordon is survived by his wife Margie Parker Peikert; sons Kevin Peikert and wife Debra, Joshua Peikert and wife Morgan; daughter Denise Peikert Henslee and husband William; grandchildren Tori Stansberry, Cody Stansberry, Landon Peikert, Kinlee Peikert; step grandchildren Saylor Henslee, Tyler Henslee; sister Loretta Peikert Johnson; brother Allen Peikert and wife Martha Lynn.

Gordon was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Dennis Peikert, Kenneth Peikert, Ben Peikert; sister Rosezell Peikert Giesie and infant brother and sister James Jr and Esther Peikert.

Services to be held at Wharton Funeral Home with Visitation April 28th from 5pm to 8pm and Funeral Services April 29th beginning at 10am with Pastor RO Murray officiating. Burial will follow at Lake Side Cemetery, Eagle Lake, Texas. A reception and luncheon will be served at the home of Denise and William Henslee.

Pallbearers will be Cody Stansberry, Landon Peikert, Allen D. Peikert, Chris Peikert, Jason Johnson, William Henslee and honorary Pallbearers BJ Peikert and Tyler Henslee.
