Ruth Millie Sabrsula

Ruth Millie Sabrsula, 95, of Wharton, TX went home to be with the Lord on April 10, 2026. She was born to Julius and Emily Hoffrek Kalina on November 14, 1930, in Smithville, TX. She married the love of her life, Alfred M. Sabrsula in Smithville, TX on November 16, 1948. They shared 69 years together. After marriage they made their home near Hungerford being farmers. She had 4 children while being a farmer’s wife. She worked in the fields and still had time to raise her children, cook wonderful meals, bake, sew and canned vegetables from their garden. She also loved tending to her flowers and pot plants. In her later years, she spent her time sewing yo-yos into small table runners. She would give them to everyone she knew. She also loved antique glassware, picking and shelling pecans.
Survivors are daughters Carolyn Pavlicek and Judy Felcman and husband, Frank, son, Kenneth Sabrsula and partner Maggie Johnson, she is also survived by her grandchildren, Judy Cox and Carl, Bo Pavlicek and Lisa, Kasey Felcman, Kerry Kocian and Adam, Kelly Sweat and Cody, Katy Morrison, Chad Sabrsula and Lauren, Craig Sabrsula, Ryan Sabrsula and Amanda, Karly Rosales and Brandon. She had 21 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild and is also survived by her sister, Marie Clanton from Keller, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Sabrsula and son Alfred Sabrsula, Jr. (Gloria) brothers, Wilbert (Bill) Kalina and Julius (Jake) Kalina and son in law Robert (Bobby) Pavlicek
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 2 pm at Evergreen Memorial Park cemetery in Wharton with Sherril Speer presiding.
Funeral Services are under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home. Condolences may be left at whartonfunertalhome.com.
