Ruth Ellen Lane

Ruth Ellen Lane, 87, of Wharton passed away on May 5, 2018 at a local nursing home.  She was born on May 19, 1930 in Wharton to the late Ed Krueger and Nora Lettace Krueger.

Ruth was raised in the Wharton area and attended schools there.  She enjoyed working.  She worked as a receptionist for an attorney, a real estate agent and a nurse.  She owned and operated an Antique Shop.  She loved watching her Houston Astros!  She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant sister, daughter, Rebecca Susan Kieler; brothers: Charles Krueger and Henry Krueger and great grandson Colt Miller.

She is survived by her grandchildren: Bryan Kieler and wife, Paulina and Tina Miller and fiancée, Brian Fisher; great grandchildren: Sofia Kieler, Amber Tisdale and Dharma Spradlin and great great grandchildren: Kierstyn Miller, Isabel Lea Womack and Logan Channing Womack.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 14, 2018 from 4 p.m – 8 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home. Graveside service will be held at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Pastor C. Wayne Clement.
