Raymundo G Barrera

Raymundo G. Barrera, 66, of Boling, Tx passed away on Wednesday November 29,2023, at a hospital in Richmond, Tx.  He was born on April 10, 1957, in New Gulf, Texas to the late Blas Sr. and Herminia Barrera.

Raymundo was raised in the New Gulf area and graduated from Boling High School. He married Linda Fletcher in Needville, and she preceded him in death on July 11, 2000.  Raymundo worked for NRG as a plant operator for many years. He enjoyed fishing, BBQ with friends and family, watching Nascar racing.

Raymundo is survived by his sister, Rosie Barrera of Boling, brothers, Jesse and wife, Susie of Edna, Edward and wife, Kelly of Wharton, Rodrigo, Sr. and wife, Sylvia of Angleton, Blas, Jr. of Boling and Ruben of Rosenberg, nieces and nephews, Jesse Jr and Abel, Blas III, Zach, Brandon, Rodrigo, Jr., Bryan, Nicholas, Stephanie Raye, Laurie, Brittany, Michael, Edward, Jr. and Celeste and several great nieces and great nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday December 8, 2023, starting at 9:30 a.m. at Wharton Funeral Home at 515 E. Boling Wharton Texas 77488. Funeral service will be on December 8, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Wharton Funeral Home with burial at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton.  Serving as pallbearers are Blas III, Brandon, Jesse, Jr., Abel, Rodrigo, Jr., and Bryan.  Honorary Pallbearers are Zach, Nicholas, Edward, Jr., Celeste, Joshua, Stephany Raye, Lori and Brittany Garza.
