Nelton Schulz

Nelton Gus Schulz, Jr., 74 of El Campo, passed away unexpectedly on November 22, 2025, at his residence. He was born on July 12, 1951, in El Campo to the Imogene Bolf Schulz and the late Nelton Gus Schulz, Sr.

Nelton embraced life with a vibrant spirit and had a heart full of love for those around him. He was raised in the Wharton area and graduated from Wharton High School. He worked various jobs in the plastics field, especially at Nanya and JM Eagle here in town before retiring from White Home and Auto in El Campo. He married Terrilyn Merka on April 8, 2017, here in Wharton. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing, traveling and collecting antique clocks. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his sister, Janell Garza.Nelton is survived by his wife, Terrilyn Schulz, mother, Imogene Schulz, daughters, Jennifer Jackson and husband, Dusty of Rock Island, and Lori Kughn of Wharton, sons, Douglas Cisneros and wife, Ahkeeia and James Cisneros both of Harker Heights, grandchildren, Jacob Schulz, Jessica Hart, Julie Hart, Kevin Krpec, Gavin Krpec, Marcelle Brooks, Jazmin Cisneros- Rives, Douglas Cisneros, Jr., Kobe Cisneros, Mariah Cisneros and Kayla Cisneros with great grandchildren, and many friends and family.

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at 1 pm at St Paul Lutheran Church in Wharton.

Rest in peace, Nelton Schulz; you will be deeply missed but forever cherished in our hearts.
