Herminia "Minnie" Gonzales

Herminia “Minnie” Gonzales Herminia Gonzales, 58, of Wharton passed away peacefully on March 20, 2022 in a Houston hospital. She was born in Wharton, TX on March 29, 1963 to Lupita Trevino Gonzales and the late Francisco Gonzales. Minnie was a life-long resident of Wharton and a graduate of Wharton High School with the class of 1982. After high school, she enjoyed a career working at the South Texas Project working her way up in administration. Minnie enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys, shopping, baking and scrapbooking. She was an active participant in the Relay for Life and a member of the Catholic Daughters. Minnie is survived by her mother, Lupita Gonzales, sister, Mary Hunter of Houston, brothers, Frank Gonzales and wife, Lisa Belson of Granite Shoals, Gilbert Gonzales and wife, Ana of San Antonio, Tony Gonzales and Robert Gonzales and wife, Jennifer Melia both of Wharton, nieces and nephews, Tanya, Sara, Alea, Adam, Alicia, Alex and Amanda. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home on Friday, March 25, 2022 with rosary recited at 7pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 26, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St John Catholic Church in Hungerford with Father Charles Dwomoh officiating.
