Michael Wix

  Michael Wix, 43, of Palacios, passed away on Saturday, September 22, 2018 following a sudden illness at a Palacios hospital.  He was born on February 28, 1975 in Springfield, TN to parents Mary Ward Wix and the late Larry Wix.   Mike grew up in Wallis and graduated from Brazos High School. During his youth, he played baseball and football. Mike was an avid sports fan of his beloved Dallas Cowboys.  He was a butcher by trade but loved to fish. Mike enjoyed fishing, either by himself or with his best friends, Bobby Tiechman and Dennis Manna. He was always willing to lend a hand and help anyone that needed assistance.   Mike is survived by his wife, Cindy Rubio of Palacios, daughters, Kimberly Rubio of Palacios, Emily Rubio of Indiana and Jaimie Rubio of Palacios and son, C.J. Rubio of Palacios, mother, Mary Wix of Wallis, sisters, Kelly Wix of El Campo, and Rebekah Ramos and husband, Matt of Wallis, brother, J.D. Wix and wife, Jessica of Fulshear and 2 grandchildren on the way. Numerous nieces and nephews will also miss Uncle Mike.   Following cremation, memorial services will be held at a later date.   Funeral Services under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.  Condolences may be left at whartonfuneralhome.com
