Maria Olga Rivera de Gonzalez

Maria Rivera de Gonzalez, 58, of Boling passed away on Monday, July 25, 2022 at her residence surrounded by her loving family following a lengthy illness. She was born on June 27, 1964 in Burgos Tamaulipas Mexico to the late Artemio Rivera Sanchez and Lucinda Olvera. She was raised in Mexico and attended schools there. She later married Jesus Gonzalez and re located to the Boling area. Maria enjoyed being active, always wanting to work in her flower garden, planting flowers, listening to good music and go dancing.

She is survived by her husband, Jesus Gonzalez of Boling, sons, Daniel Gonzalez and wife, Tammy Garcia of Edinburg, Jesus Gonzalez and wife, Daniela of El Campo, sisters, Rosa Garza and husband, Arnold, Gloria Rivera and husband, Jorge Narvaez, and Trinidad Rivera and husband, Julian Hernandez, Manuel Rivera, Ricardo Gonzalez Olvera, Jose Angel Rivera and wife, Felly Ramos Rivera, Adrian Rivera and wife, Susy de la Rosa, and Ramiro Rivera. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Alexis Garcia.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 1, 2022 after 5 pm with a rosary recited at 6:30 pm at Wharton Funeral Home. Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal will be held on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 2pm at St Roberts Catholic Church in El Campo with burial following at Holy Cross Memorial Park in El Campo. 

Pallbearers will be Danny Gonzalez, Jesus Gonzales, Ramiro Rivera, Justin Moncibias, Jason Moncibias and Sergio Sanchez.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
