Maria Esther Jaime

Maria Esther Jaime passed away peacefully on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the age of 70 in a Katy hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 14, 1955, in Rio Bravo, Tamaulipas, Mexico to the late Emilia Macias and the late Jose Santamaria. Maria lived a life rich in love, family, and passion. She called El Campo, Texas, her home for many years, shared delicious meals with her family and community. She embraced her heritage with pride, often creating traditional dishes that brought everyone together around the table. Beyond her culinary talents, Maria found happiness in traveling, nurturing a love for flowers, engaging in crocheting, and crafting cozy blankets that warmed both body and spirit. She was preceded in death by her father Jose Santamaria, mother, Emilia Macias, and her sister, Rosa Santamaria.She is survived by her loving husband, Ramiro Jaime, of El Campo; daughters, Maria Iracheta of Wharton, and Melissa Iracheta of Wharton; sons,, Jose Paz Iracheta Santamaria of Mexico, Miguel Angel Iracheta Santamaria of Mexico, and Ramiro Jaime, Jr. of Wharton. She is also survived by her sisters, Estella and Meredes Santamaria, and her brother, Juan Santamaria. Grandchildren, Aaron Iracheta, Anahy Iracheta, Jose Gabriel Sanchez, Cesar Arturo Sanchez, Christian Rodriguez, David Rodriguez, Gilberto Rodriguez and great grandchildren Dylan, Mateo, Emiliano, Ammy, Alejandro, Regina, Carolina, Ezekial and Rebecca Lynn Jaime.

Visitation will be held at Wharton Funeral Home on Friday, December 26, 2025, starting at 5:00 PM with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral service will take place at the First Baptist Church of El Campo on December 27, 2025, at 10:00 AM, followed by her burial at 1:30 p.m. at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton, Texas.
