Luciano Garza Jr.

August 10, 1959 — May 24, 2025

Luciano Garza Jr., a beloved son, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend passed away on Saturday, May 24th at 4:50 PM at the Houston Memorial Hermann Texas Medical Center hospital at the age of 65 years old. Luciano was born in East Bernard, Texas on August 10th, 1959 to Luciano Garza Sr. and Susie Hernandez. Luciano attended and graduated from Alief Hastings High School where he played football. Throughout his life, he lived in East Bernard, Alief, Katy, and Rosenberg.

"Lou" attended trade school after graduating high school and received his journeyman electrician license. He then became employed at Kenmor Electric, where he worked for a majority of his life; he worked over time, was always able to fix almost anything, and happily did side work for anyone who recognized how skillful he was at his profession. He also worked for the Alief school district for a small period of time. He loved surfing, mountain biking, running, bull riding, fishing, playing football and baseball, playing pool, getting tattoos, and spending time with his family and friends. He also loved watching the Astros and the Space Cowboys, where he would regularly attend games and proudly take home an abundance of merchandise. He was a loyal friend to many, and many remember him for the wisdom that he had, his stories, and the fun conversations. He was a very giving person, and he wanted nothing in return. He also took great pride in his Native American roots, and he always had the catch phrase of, "Long Live Lou!"

Lou is survived by his mother, daughter, 2 siblings, 4 nieces, 3 nephews, and a lot of loving cousins, aunts, and uncles. Lou became a father on October 23rd, 1998 to his daughter, Courtney Garza; he was also a stepfather to Laura Perez, who gave birth to his first grandchildren, Cristian and Nicolas Perez. Lou was a beloved uncle to Natalie, Nicole, Justin, and George Goff, and Brittany, Noah, and Zoey Faison. Lou had 3 siblings, Rebecca, Vincent, and Oscar. He had a very close relationship with his mother, Susie Garza.

Lou will be remembered for his triumphant spirit, his heart of gold, his light-hearted demeanor, his smile, his love for sweets at any time of the day, his loyalty to those that he loved, his love for baseball, his hard-working, never-quit mentality, and much, much more.

Lou's wishes were to not have a service. May he rest in eternal peace and be remembered for the beautiful life that he lived and the love that he gave to others.
