Lorna Foehner Horelica, age 102, of Boling passed away on January 25, 2026, in Needville, Tx. Lorna was born on December 30, 1923, in Washington County Texas to the late Louis and Hilda Foehner.
Lorna lived most of her life in Wharton County and attended the Boling School District. She worked at several different jobs, including telephone operator, and many years as an office nurse for Dr. Harold Northington at Outler and Blair Clinic. Lorna married Leon Horelica on August 22, 1957. They were together for 58 years. They adopted a son, Daniel Joe in 1966.
Lorna loved to sew, and she sewed for her family and the public for many years. She also loved to bake for church and family. She and Leon were members and served the Boling Methodist Church for many years until residing in Needville at the SPJST home. In addition to her parents, Lorna was preceded in death by her brother Lenert of Illinois and her brother, Nelson and her son Danny of Beaumont, Tx,
She is survived by her sister, Verna Rosenbaum of Rosenberg and Evelyn “Evie” Rohne of Pearland, and brother, David Foehner of Boling and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Friday, January 30, 2026, at the Boling Methodist Church starting 10:30 a.m. followed by a funeral service starting at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton, Tx.
