November 11, 1930 - March 17, 2019

Lillian Rose Cervenka Wisnieski gained her wings on March 17, 2019.  She was born November 11, 1930 to Frank and Veronica Versely Cervenka. She grew up in Frydek, Texas and had nine siblings Frank Cervenka Jr., Joe Cervenka, Mary Ondruch, August Cervenka, Francis Hanzelka, Mollie Laidolf, Sofia Cervenka, Louie Cervenka, and Bertha Chumchal.  Lillian attended school in Frydek and East Bernard.  She married Arvil Hobbs and they had 3 beautiful daughters, Jane, Dale, and Doris.  After his passing Lillian remarried Joe Wisnieski Jr who was the love of her life. They had an amazing journey together, by each other's side until his very last day.

Lillian lived life to the fullest. She was a supporter of the Wharton County Youth, a member of the Women’s Auxiliary, and a member of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Wharton.  Lillian worked for the Wharton ISD Food Service Department and retired on May 31, 1997, where everyone loved her dressing around the holidays and she loved traveling to conventions with the Food Service Department.  She continued to support WISD ESC Office by bringing baked goods to share especially her brownies.  She enjoyed so much in life. She loved to sew, you could always count on her to make you that special costume.  She enjoyed cooking, dancing, gardening, and most of all watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren at their activities and sporting events. You could normally catch her shopping at Palais Royal, if you couldn’t find her you knew where to look.  Lillian enjoyed their times spent out at Joe and Adelines with all their friends who became family. Everyone knew Mama Lil and loved her dearly. She loved to be with her family and friends and was always looking for a reason to have a get together.

Lillian was preceded in death by her first husband Arvil Hobbs and her loving husband Joe Wisnieski Jr, her parents Frank and Veronica Cervenka, brothers Frank Cervenka Jr, Joe Cervenka, August Cervenka, and Louie Cervenka, sisters Mary Ondruch, Mollie Laidolf, Sofia Cervenka, Francis Hanzelka, and Bertha Chumchal, grandson Arvil Lynn Dornak, and son in-laws Gary Smith and Tommy Stewart.
