Larry J Tichacek

September 26, 1939 — February 15, 2021

Larry J. Tichacek son of Victor and Frances Wasicek Tichacek and brother to Victor was born in Sealy Texas on September 26, 1939.

 

Larry graduated from East Bernard High School in 1957 and Sam Houston State University in 1963. Larry married Nell Townsend Tichacek on June 8, 1963. and together raised their 2 children.  After graduating from college, became a high school band director.  After doing this for several years he became a public-school librarian in East Bernard ISD.  He worked there until he retired.  Anyone that knew Larry knew how much he love to fish and bar-b-que.

 

Larry and Nell were blessed with a son, Chuck and daughter in law, Mari and a grandson Victor; daughter Amy and husband, Richard and grandson Jonathan, two granddaughters, Ruby Rutledge and children, Pearl, Padyn, Preston and Carlos and Perla Cortinas and husband, John and children, Jewel and Addison.

 

Following Cremation, a memorial come and go service will be held at First United Methodist Church in East Bernard, Tx.

 

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church in East Bernard, TX or EMS and Fire Departments of East Bernard.

 

Funeral Services are under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.  Condolences may be left at whartonfuneralhome.com
