Jose Guadalupe Martinez, 68, of Boling, Tx passed away peacefully on October 10, 2025, at a hospital in Bay City, Texas. Born on December 12, 1956, in Coahuila, Mexico, to the late Pablo Valdez and Joaquina Sandoval.

Jose forged a remarkable life that reflected his strong values and rich heritage. He made his home in Wharton, Texas, where he devoted his career as a manager at Maxim Egg Production. He was a man of many passions. He took great joy in fishing, dancing, and spending time with his family and friends. The laughter shared at cookouts and the simple pleasure of enjoying a cold beer surrounded by loved ones created lasting memories that will be cherished by those who knew him best.

He is survived by his loving wife, Dora Martinez of Boling; daughters, Monica Martinez of Boling and Sandra Martinez and husband, Solin Hernandez of Lane City; sons, Rey Martinez and wife, Crystal Avila of Wharton and Jose Roberto Martinez and wife, Aracely DeLeon of Mexico; sisters, Juana Martinez Sandoval, Felicitas Luna Sandoval and Guadalupe Luna Sandoval; brother, Sotero Martinez Sandoval; grandchildren, Alan Suarez, Hector Suarez, Roy Martinez, Jacob Martinez, Ava Martinez, Jesslyn Hernandez, Joshua Hernandez, Esteban Hernandez, Camila Hernandez, Jair Martinez, Obie Martinez Josiel Martinez and Jaden Martinez; great grandchildren, Aleia Martinez, Anahi Martinez, Luna Suarez and Octavia Suarez. They will carry his legacy forward, holding dear the stories and moments that defined their time together.

Please join us in honoring Jose’s life. A visitation that begins at 5:00 p.m. will be held at Wharton Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, October 16, 2025, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 PM recited by Blanca Salas with a Funeral service to follow at 6:30 p.m. with Father Robert Guerra officiating. Cremation will follow with inurnment at his home in Mexico at a later date.

José Guadalupe Martínez, de 68 años, residente de Boling, Texas, falleció pacíficamente el 10 de octubre de 2025 en un hospital de Bay City, Texas. Nació el 12 de diciembre de 1956 en Coahuila, México, hijo de los difuntos Pablo Valdez y Joaquina Sandoval.

José forjó una vida extraordinaria que reflejó sus sólidos valores y su rica herencia. Se estableció en Wharton, Texas, donde dedicó su carrera como gerente en Maxim Egg Production. Fue un hombre de múltiples pasiones. Disfrutaba mucho de la pesca, el baile y pasar tiempo con su familia y amigos. Las risas compartidas en las barbacoas y el simple placer de disfrutar de una cerveza fría rodeado de seres queridos crearon recuerdos imborrables que atesorarán quienes lo conocieron mejor.

Le sobreviven su amada esposa, Dora Martínez, residente de Boling; sus hijas, Mónica Martínez, también de Boling, y Sandra Martínez, y su esposo, Solin Hernández, residente de Lane City; Sus hijos, Rey Martínez y su esposa, Crystal Ávila, de Wharton, y José Roberto Martínez y su esposa, Aracely DeLeón, de México; sus hermanas, Juana Martínez Sandoval, Felicitas Luna Sandoval y Guadalupe Luna Sandoval; su hermano, Sotero Martínez Sandoval; sus nietos, Alan Suárez, Héctor Suárez, Roy Martínez, Jacob Martínez, Ava Martínez, Jesslyn Hernández, Joshua Hernández, Esteban Hernández, Camila Hernández, Jair Martínez, Obie Martínez, Josiel Martínez y Jaden Martínez; y sus bisnietos, Aleia Martínez, Anahí Martínez, Luna Suárez y Octavia Suárez. Ellos continuarán su legado, atesorando las historias y los momentos que marcaron su tiempo juntos.

Acompáñenos a honrar la vida de José. El velorio comienza a las 17:00 h. El velatorio se llevará a cabo en la capilla de la Funeraria Wharton el jueves 16 de octubre de 2025, seguido del rosario a las 18:00 h con Blanca Salas. El funeral se celebrará a las 18:30 h, oficiado por el padre Robert Guerra. Posteriormente, se cremará y se colocará el cuerpo en su casa de México.
