J.D. Divin

Johnnie Daniel "J.D." Divin was born on May 15, 1941 to John and Lillian Divin. He married Clara Moss on March 23, 1973. He worked as a welder, carpenter and enjoyed gardening, baking, canning, fishing and tending to his bees. He is known for his love of baking rum cakes each year during the Christmas season for his family, neighbors, friends and business associates to enjoy. JD is preceded in death by his parents John and Lillian Divin, wife Clara and daughter Diana. He is survived by brothers Louis Divin, Henry Divin and wife Darlene; sons Dwayne and wife Wanda, Kenneth and wife Sharon; daughters Terry and husband Tim, Jennifer and Charlie, and Kay; 12 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2024 from 4pm until 7pm at Wharton Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at 9 am at Hartsville Cemetery in Wallis.
