Jo Ann Krobot Hausler,87, of Wharton passed away peacefully at her home on September 27, 2026. Born on August 30, 1939, in Bay City, Texas to the late Rudolph Krobot and Delfina Pesak Krobot.

Jo Ann was a remarkable individual, known for her intellect and creativity. Jo Ann loved her family. Her grandkids and great grandson were the light of her life. She thrived as an owner-operator of an office supply and printing shop, where her passion for her work shone brightly. Throughout her life, Jo Ann cultivated hobbies that reflected her nurturing nature: she enjoyed sewing, drawing, cooking, and gardening, creating beautiful flower arrangements in her garden. Her love for raising chickens and caring for her cats exemplified her commitment to life’s simple joys. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Kathleen Petrosky and brother, Douglas Krobot.She is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Donald Hausler of Wharton with whom she shared a beautiful love story — meeting at work and becoming engaged just three months later; daughters, Linda Hausler of Houston and Becca Wendel and husband, Jason of Wharton; brother, Randy Krobot and wife, Priscilla; grandchildren, Sabrina Riley, Skyler Riley, Dillan Wendel and wife, Maria; and Samantha Janik and husband, Hunter and great grandson, Daniel Wendel.

A funeral service will be held at the Wharton Funeral Home on Thursday, October 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM with Pastor Michael Smith officiating. Following the service, a graveside ceremony will be held at the City of Rosenberg Cemetery at 3:30 PM. Serving as pallbearers will be Dillan Wendel, Skyler Riley, Hunter Janik, Jason Wendel, Jastin Arbing and Brandon Quarles.
