Jimmy Ray Watson
Jimmy Ray Watson, 61, of Boling passed away in a Houston hospital following a sudden illness on Thursday, May 19, 2022. He was born on September 21, 1960, in El Campo to Dolores Hill Watson and the late TL Watson.
Jimmy attended Wharton High School. He married Lynn Willrich on November 12, 1988. He enjoyed working as a truck driver for many years. He enjoyed fishing, telling jokes, picking on people, talking on the phone and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Lynn Watson, daughter, Ashley Poncik and husband, Dustin son, Brent Watson and wife, Jesseka daughter, Haverty Mayard and husband, Raleigh, Jr., his mother, Dolores Watson, sister, Donna Gail Davis and husband, Keith, brothers, Tommy Watson and wife Julie and Bobby Watson and wife, Penny, grandchildren Nolan, Presley and Tate Poncik, Rylie and Braylie Watson and Ellie Mayard; along with nieces, nephews, cousins, and close family friends.
Visitation will be held after 5 p.m. on Monday, May 23, 2022, at Wharton Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 24, 2022 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton.
