Israel made his home in Wharton, Texas, where he was known for his warmth, hard work, and love of life. Israel dedicated many years of his life to working in the plastic industry, where his hard work and dedication were evident in everything he did.
Israel will be dearly missed by all who knew him, especially by his loving family and close friends, who will forever hold him in their hearts. Family meant everything to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Whether it was through music, dancing, or simply sharing stories, Israel had a unique way of bringing people together.
A devoted husband to his beloved wife of 59 years, Maria Louisa Garcia Torres of Wharton; children Israel Torres Garcia of Wharton, Elias Torres Garcia of Wharton, Claudia Leticia Torres Garcia of Wharton, Juana Torres Garcia of Linares, Mx, and Julio Cesar Torres Garcia of Linares, Mx. Along with his beloved grandchildren. Family meant everything to him, and he cherished every moment spent with them. Whether it was through music, dancing, or simply sharing stories, Israel had a unique way of bringing people together.
A Visitation will be held on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Wharton Cemetery in Wharton, Tx.
