Harvey VanCleve

Harvey Winston Van Cleve, 91, of Wharton and formerly of Monahans, passed away on Wednesday, September 8, 2021, in a Richmond hospital following a lengthy illness. Harvey was born on December 29, 1929, in Pecos, Texas, to the late .              

Harvey grew up in West Texas. He served our country honorably in the United Sates Army. Harvey worked with the telephone company until he started his longtime career with the postal service. He enjoyed bingo, watching sports on tv, a good western and a game of dominoes. He was a very proud veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters.

Harvey is survived by his daughter, Susan Stark, grandchildren, Michael Stark and Shelly Stark, great grandchildren, Corbin and Watson Stark, Austin, Braden and Chance French.

 Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the VA National Cemetery in Houston under the auspices of the American Legion.
