Glenn Ray Kosik
August 31st 1955 ~ August 8th 2024
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Glenn Ray Kosik on August 8th 2024. He was born on August 31st 1955, to Paul R. Kosik and Frankie C. Pyka Kosik in Wharton Texas.
He served in the United States Air Force where he earned his Honorable Discharge of 20 years in 1993. He toured many places making new friends and living life. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked at several jobs including L&L Automotive, Schlumberger, Carroll’s Gun Shop, Star Parts, and John Gary Farms, along with selling his famous Doc’s catfish bait. He thoroughly enjoyed one of God’s most wonderful creations, the great outdoors; fishing and hunting were his life. He loved getting together with his family and friends and just spending time with them; never forgetting his jar of change for a good game of poker.
He was preceded in death by his father, Paul R. Kosik. He is survived by his mom, Frankie Kosik, his sister Debra Wood (Brad) and Sharon Lindberg (Myrvle) of Wharton, Tx, nephew Trey Lindberg (Amanda) of San Antonio Tx, nieces Erinn Park (Zane) of Needville Tx, Brandi Jimenez (Stephen) and Megan Cruz of Wharton Tx, great nephews Stran and Stocks Jimenez of Wharton Tx, and Drew and Lane Lindberg of San Antonio Tx. He also had a very special place in his heart for his granddaughter Melody Beck of Bastrop Tx, and good friends (that were more like family) John and Melinda Gary and son Josh (Allison) of Boling Tx. Throughout his life he had many friends and acquaintances that meant a lot to him. He was a person that was willing to lend a helping hand when he could. His motto in life was “It’s gonna be alright”.
Glenn will be deeply missed. May he rest in peace. To honor Glenn’s wishes, a private celebration of life will be held at a later date with his loved ones. His spirit will live on in all our hearts through the great memories and good times. We take comfort in knowing that Glenn is at peace. Your prayers, respect and remembrance are greatly appreciated by him and his family.
