Geraldine Waller

Geraldine Waller, 79, of Eagle Lake, passed away on Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at a Sugar Land Hospital. She was born on October 23, 1942, in Wharton to the late Gerald Albert and Ellen Jenkins Kennedy.

Geraldine was raised in the Wharton area and graduated from Needville High School. On August 5, 1961 she married Billy Joe Waller. He preceded her in death on October 4, 1993. Geraldine worked as a bookkeeper for many years with Farmer Co-Op El Campo. She loved horses and enjoyed rodeo with her family. They would travel to many events as a young family and developed a deep love for that way of life. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Billy Joe Waller, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Peevy and husband, David of Eagle Lake, sons, John Waller and wife, Kaci of Van Vleck and Jason Waller of Eagle Lake, sister Valrie Gann and husband, Larry of El Campo, brother, Gerald Kennedy and wife, Patricia of Bay City, granddaughters, Kayla and Kamryn Waller; sister-in-law, Dorthy Elliott and brother-in-law, Wayne Frankum numerous other family members and many, many friends.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022, after 12 noon with the Funeral Service at 2pm at The Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Serving as pallbearers are John Waller, Jason Waller, David Peevy, Larry Gann, Matt Goetsch, and Mack Wade Droomgoole.
