Frankie Partida, Jr

Frankie Partida, Jr., 24, of Egypt, Texas passed away on Monday, September 17, 2018 near Crescent from injuries sustained in an automobile accident returning home from firefighter training in El Campo. Frankie was born in Wharton, Texas on February 6, 1994, to parents, Stephanie Pena and Frank Partida, Sr.   Frankie was raised in the Egypt area and attended Wharton and El Campo schools. He enjoyed spending time with his fellow firefighters and being a part of the Glen Flora Volunteer Fire Department. Frankie was studying to become an electrician. He was very proud of the work that he did building a house for himself, his wife, Rachel Carswell Partida, and their small family. Frankie was always willing to lend a hand and help anybody in need. That’s one reason he followed his father into firefighting. He will always be known as a compassionate man that loved his family and fire department.   Frankie is survived by his loving wife, Rachel Carswell Partida, daughter, Zinnia Partida, son due in December, Frankie III, mother, Stephanie Pena, father Frank Partida, Sr. and wife, Jennifer and daughter, Zinnia all of Egypt, sister, Kristin Ullrich and husband, Mitchell of Wharton, brothers, Christian Partida and Johnny Gonzales both of Egypt, grandparents, Jesse and Janie Pena of Wharton and Josephine Gonzales of Hungerford; in laws: Tanya Cunningham and husband, Roger of Glen Flora, Jerald D Carswell, Jr., and Deanne M Carswell Mannix and Charles Echols; sibling in laws: Christin Carswell and Timothy L. Duke, Jr., Tina L Penski and husband, Steven, Megan Carswell, William Carswell and Harry Carswell; best friend, Jonathan Moss, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.    Visitation will be held Friday, September 21, 2018 starting at 5:00 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home, with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.  A Firefighter Memorial Service will be held starting at 9:00 a.m. Saturday, September 22, 2018 at Wharton Civic Center in Wharton.  The burial will follow at Glen Flora Cemetery near Crescent.   Serving as pallbearers will be Ross Castro, Xavier Gonzales, Michael Edwards, Michael Macha, Joseph Dunagun, Colton Davis and Peggy Todd. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen Flora Volunteer Fire Department.   Funeral services are under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.  Condolences may be left at whartonfuneralhome.com
