Elo R Stolle

THE EARTHLY WALK OF ELO R. STOLLE   Elo R. Stolle was born September 11, 1928, to Elo John and Leona Ullmann Stolle, in Wharton, Texas.  He was reared in the Wharton area and attended Wharton schools. On October 26, 1954, Elo and Helen Marie Westfahl were joined together by the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony at St Andrews Catholic Church in Hillje, Texas.  Elo was a farmer and rancher all his life, retiring in 2012.  He was devoted to his beloved Helen, and enjoyed dancing with her at local dances.  He also enjoyed being with his family, visiting with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, and watching Texans football.               He was a past president of the Young Farmers Association, a member and former Grand Knight of the Wharton Knights of Columbus and past President of the Holy Family Holy Name Society. He was a very devout member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Wharton, serving as an example to his children of living an exemplary Christian life. Elo was preceded in death by his parents and by two sisters, Isabelle White and Dorothy Rachunek.  He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Helen of Wharton; sons, Randy Stolle and wife, Patti of Inez; Michael Stolle of Wharton; Brian Stolle and wife, Melissa of Cuero; and Chris Stolle and wife, Meg of East Bernard; sister, Evelyn Ferguson and husband, James of Wharton; brother, Edward Stolle and wife, Susan of Wharton; precious grandchildren, Christie, Stacy, Shelby, Sydney, Lauren and Avery, along with great grandchildren, Emma and Olivia; and numerous nieces and nephews and close family friends. Serving as pallbearers are the following: Joe Stolle, John Stolle, Keith Stolle, Cory Westfahl, Jimmy Ferguson and Kenneth Rachunek. Honorary pallbearers are Christie, Stacy, Shelby, Sydney, Lauren and Avery Stolle. Visitation will be held on Sunday evening, June 10 starting at 5 p.m. at Wharton Funeral Home, 515 Boling Highway, Wharton with a Holy Rosary recited at 7 p.m. led by Knights of Columbus.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Holy Family Catholic Church, 2011 Briar Lane, Wharton on Monday, June 11 at 10 a.m., with Father Bob Knippenberg officiating.  The Rite of Committal and burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.   In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Holy Family Building Fund.   Funeral services are under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.  Condolences may be left at whartonfuneralhome.com.
