Ellie Jones Beebe Lins Purswell

Ellie Jones Beebe Lins Purswell      Ellie Jones Beebe Lins Purswell, age 81, of Markham and Kemah and formerly of Newgulf and Boling, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2018, at her home in Markham with her loving family at her side. Ellie was born on September 24, 1936, in Wharton County, TX to the late Norban Frank and Ida Dees Jones.         Ellie was raised in the Boling area and graduated from Boling High School with the Class of 1955. She later graduated from Wharton County Junior College with her LVN degree. Ellie worked for many years at Gulf Coast Medical Center as a nurse. Ellie married Larry Purswell on January 14, 1984 in Boling. She enjoyed antiquing and traveling with her husband. She was also an avid clock collector and spent many hours at her stores in Galveston County, selling antiques and clocks.        In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, William Gayle Beebe and Larry Lins, sisters, Mildred McFeron, Nina Jones, and brother, Buddy Jones.         Ellieis survived by her husband, Larry Purswell of Markham, children, Dennis Beebe and wife, Lois of Boling, Carolyn Tyler and husband Kenneth of Bay City, Stephanie Lins Vance and husband, Travis of League City, Bill Lins and wife, Linda of Wharton, Elizabeth Matzke and husband, Jim of Portland, Oregon, Jeanie Wilson and husband, Terrell of Palacios, Adrian Purswell and wife, Cindy of Palacios, Paul Purswell and wife, Laura of Port Lavaca and Bruce Purswell and wife, Anissa of Markham, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.               Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home.  Burial will follow cremation at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton at a later date.   Funeral services under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.  Condolences may be left at whartonfuneralhome.com.
