In Loving Memory of Elizabeth "Libby" Wasek
March 30, 1953 – March 7, 2026
Elizabeth "Libby" Wasek, born on March 30, 1953, in Glen Flora, Texas, embarked on her final journey on March 7, 2026. She passed away peacefully at a hospital in Cedar Park, Texas, surrounded by the same warmth and love she spent her entire life cultivating.
Libby dedicated her life to the service of others, working as a devoted caregiver for young and elderly patients. Her innate kindness and compassion extended far beyond her profession; she embraced everyone she met with open arms. A nurturing spirit in every sense, Libby filled the hearts of her family and friends with boundless joy and laughter.
A graduate of Wharton High School, Libby was a devout Daughter, Mother, and Grandmother who found her greatest happiness in the company of her loved ones. She had a particular fondness for bank fishing, often finding peace by the water’s edge while casting lines and sharing stories with her family. Her vibrant personality shone through her love of music, whether she was dancing or singing her favorite karaoke songs.
Libby is survived by her son, August Joseph Wasek III and his wife Sara; her beloved grandchildren, Scarlett Wasek and August Joseph Wasek IV; her sisters, Virginia Harn, Rosie Wilkins, and Anita Gonzales Mata; and her brothers, Pete Gonzales and James Gonzales. Together, they hold a lifetime of cherished memories.
She now joins her beloved husband, August Joseph Wasek II, and her siblings—Maria Gonzales, John Gonzales Jr., Raymond Gonzales, and Joe Gonzales—in eternal peace.
