Dorothy Bosch

Dorothy Barbara Bosch, 78, of Burr, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Wharton on September 6, 1947, to the late Anton Hundl, Jr. and Elsa Dolejsi Hundl.

Dorothy was raised in Burr and attended Holy Family Catholic School before graduating from Boling High School in 1965. She later attended Wharton County Junior College. She married Steven Bosch, Jr. on July 24, 1971, in Wharton. Dorothy worked in the banking industry for many years, retiring from Prosperity Bank in Wharton as a bookkeeper. She enjoyed her wordsearch books, sewing, baking, fishing, and the occasional trip to try her luck in LA. Dorothy loved her family time and relished all of her grandchildren and lately her great granddaughter. She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Aux, and a former member of the Catholic Daughters, and Holy Family Catholic Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lawrence Hundl.Dorothy is survived by her husband of 54 years, Steven Bosch, Jr. of Burr, daughter, Brenda Woytek and husband, Keith of Wharton, son, Michael Bosch and wife, Jaime of Wharton, grandchildren, Amber Vincek and husband, Joshua, Colby Bosch and wife, Becka, Emily Woytek and fiancée Jonathan Dippel and Gracie Phillips and husband, Sean and great granddaughter, Dottie Ann, sister-in-laws Mary Slansky, Theresa Hundl, Joyce Svatek and many friends and extended family. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Dorothy’s caregiver Erika Estrada.

Visitation will be after 9 am Thursday, November 6 at Holy Family Catholic Church with Rosary recited at 9:30 am and the Funeral Mass set to begin at 10am. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Serving as pallbearers will be Colby Bosch, Joshua Vincek, Jonathan Dippel, Sean Phillips, Brian Slansky and Robert Hundl. Honorary pallbearers are Phil Bush, Dennis Sestek and Gary Dolejsi.
