Obituary

Dillan Scott Laake was born February 18, 1993; he passed away on May 21, 2026. He was a devoted father, son, brother, nephew and friend whose personality could light up any room and make every gathering more memorable.

Dillan loved spending time with his son, Mason Booth Laake, whom he adored more than life itself. Whether fishing, hunting, or simply enjoying time with family, those moments meant the world to him. He was deeply loved by many and will be remembered for his big heart, sense of humor, and the joy he brought to those around him.

He is survived by his beloved son, Mason Booth Laake; his mother, Sherie Broussard; his father, Brian Laake and wife Renee; his grandpa, Dan Laake and wife Haydee; aunt, Vicki Laake; his grandfather, Ken Broussard and wife Vikki; grandmother Judy Laister; his bonus parents, Allen and Sheila Horak; brothers, Kaleb Broussard; Cory Carker and wife Renee; Chad Carker; sisters, Harli Blalock and husband Clay; Chelcy Clontz and husband Colt; Lyndsi Carker; Andi Hernandez and husband Matt; his bonus brothers, Wyatt Hinze and wife Carly, Merle Hinze and wife Amber; along with many nieces and nephews who lovingly knew him as “Uncle Poncho.”

Dillan’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. The family asks that everyone continue to embrace and support his beloved son, Mason, and share the good memories of his father, whom Mason adored and loves so deeply.
