Denice Malota, 56, of Wharton passed away on September 26, 2021in a Houston hospital.  Denice was born on February 22, 1965 in Houston to Ervin and the late Dorothy Kosik Kucera.

Denice was raised in Wharton and graduated from Wharton High School with the class of 1983. She later attended and graduated from Wharton County Junior College. She married Daniel Malota on July 7, 1990. He preceded her in death on June 17, 2003. She enjoyed working with Fort Bend County in the Administration Dept. Denice loved to shop, go traveling and have breakfast on Saturdays with her grandchildren.

Denice is survived by her daughter, Jayde Garcia and husband, Andrew Cordero of Wharton, brother, Ervin “Bo” Kucera and wife Krista Spano of Wharton, her grandchildren, Kaelyn, Lena, Andie and Andres Cordero also her nieces Ashley Spano Reitz, Katie Camacho Garza and her beloved dog, Chloe.

Visitation will be after 9 am Thursday, October 7, 2021 at St John Catholic Church in Hungerford with a rosary recited at 9:30 and Mass to follow at 10 am with Fr. Charles Dwomoh. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton.
