Deborah King, 69, of Wharton, passed away on December 30, 2023 in a Sugar Land hospital. Deborah was adopted by Thomas and Ethel Moore in Germany on March 21, 1954.

Deborah worked at the United States Postal Service as a rural carrier. She married Paul King on October 10, 2018 in Wharton. She enjoyed shooting handguns, and loved going to South Texas to White Wing Dove hunt. She adored her grandchildren and loved spending spare time in her garden where she had green thumb, watching hummingbirds. One thing she relished most was her involvement with her church, leading a womans group. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Ethel Renee Rose.

Deborah is survived by her husband, Paul King, son, Richard Lee Rose Jr. and wife, Sara, brother Thomas Moore and wife, Allie and grandchildren, Richard Lee “Trace” Rose III, and Benjamin William Rose.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 6, 2024 at 3 pm at Wharton Funeral Home 515 E. Boling Hwy Wharton TX 77488.

Funeral services were under the direction of Wharton Funeral Home.
