Charles Henry Mazel was born in Wharton, Texas on September 22, 1952.  Charles fought a courageous battle with cancer but was called home on December 31, 2023.

Charles was raised in Wharton by his parents Milton and Louise Bennetsen Mazel.  He was a 1971 graduate of Wharton High School and later attended Wharton County Junior College. On December 7, 1975, he married Libby Perry in El Campo, Texas.  Charles devoted his working career to the oil field industry working for Dow Chemical, Crossroads Oil Field Supply, and was the owner/operator of El Campo Production Services later retiring in 2021. Charles also had his own cattle business.  He spent countless hours working cattle which was one of his passions. His other enjoyment was definitely hunting! His favorite place on earth to be was at deer camp spending time with his buddies.

He will always be remembered for his generosity and hard work.

Charles’ love for his children and grandchildren was unmatched, making sure they had everything they would ever need.
