Billy Dean Beck

Billy Dean Beck, 66, of Boling passed away on Friday, January 22, 2021, at a Houston hospital following a short illness. Billy was born on March 29, 1954, in Bastrop, Texas to the late Emil Joseph and Frances Terrell Beck.  

Billy attended schools in Boling. He worked as an oil and gas gauger most of his life.  Billy enjoyed driving to gauge the wells and seeing the sights that nature afforded him.  He loved to be outdoors, enjoying nature, animals of all kinds and his garden. Billy also loved buying scratch-off tickets, hoping for a big payout. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Douglas and Kenny Beck.  

Billy is survived by his daughter, Alyssa Beck of Wharton, son, Jason Crawford of Bakersfield, CA, sisters, Patsy Calcote of Grapeland and Rebecca Luedecke of Louise and his precious grandchildren, Preston and Payton Beck, Jeyda Smith and Kimberly Crawford. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 26, from 5 until 7 pm at Wharton Funeral Home.  Cremation will follow.   

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to your favorite charity in Billy's memory.
