Berlinda Cruz Yee

Berlinda Yee, 65, of Katy, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 17, 2024, at a Katy hospital. She was born on November 14, 1958, in Wharton, Texas to the late Janie G. Cruz and Gilbert Q. Cruz.

Berlinda was raised in Wharton and graduated from Wharton High School. She married David Knowland Yee on May 3, 1986. Berlinda worked as an administrator for Texas Instruments for 19 years then working for Texas Womens University, and Farmland Insurance. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States and abroad, loved to dance to Hispanic and Jazz music, sew crafts, gardening, and the occasional trip to test her luck at Coushatta. Also Volenteer for Ducks Unlimited as hostess.

Berlinda is survived by her loving husband, David Knowland Yee, sisters, Lucy Alaniz and husband, John of Wharton, and Candy Mata and husband, Roman of Richmond, brother Paul Cruz and wife, Martina and several nieces and nephews. Godson Lee Cruz Trerino

Services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, with visitation after 1 pm and the Funeral services starting at 2 pm at Wharton Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Paul Cruz, Lee C. Trerino, Jimmy Nickolyn, Roy J. Cerrillo, John Alaniz and Lydia Cerrillo.
