Barbara Jean Vrana, who departed this world peacefully at the age of 66 on October 8, 2025. Born on May 9, 1959, to the late Rudolph and Mildred Polasek Vrana.
Barbara was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, residing in East Bernard, Texas. She made a name for herself as a dedicated employee, helping people with their purchases at Lowes in East Bernard for many years, often going above and beyond to ensure that everyone's order was correct.Beyond the work, Barbara was a woman with a passion for crafts. She was very talented seamstress, crochet artist, and loved her flowers and garden, sharing with friends and family. She enjoyed card games, especially poker and loved going to Bingo to visit and win. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Rudy (Junior) Vrana, Jr. and Robbie Vrana.Barbara is survived by her devoted sons, Robert Glenn and wife, Jessica of East Bernard, and Brian Glenn of El Campo, sister, Patricia Kennedy of Bay City, brother, Jerry Vrana and Cyndi Kayali of Texas City, grandchildren, Bentlei Montalvo and Madison Mireles and many nieces, nephews and friends. She cherished her family and was known for her loving spirit and generous heart.
Visitation will be held at Wharton Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, starting at 9am. Funeral services will be held at 10 am at Wharton Funeral Home. A rite of Committal and burial will follow at St Wenceslaus Cemetery in Beasley, next to her parents.
