Aurelio Rodriguez

Aurelio, 53, of Wharton died on June 15, 2026, at his residence. Born on January 26, 1973, in Wharton, Texas, to the late Aurelio and Eva Mejorado Rodriguez.

Aurelio was born in Wharton graduated from Wharton High School and lived here his entire life. On May 14, 2005, he married Destiny Strader in Hungerford. He worked for Albis Plastics, Walmart, and Ellison Chevy as a salesman. Aurelio enjoyed fishing, making BBQ, spending time with his family, watching the Astros, Texans and Rockets and spoiling his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Kaysen Peach.Aurelio is survived by his wife, Destiny Rodriguez of Wharton, daughters, Haleigh Villasana and fiancé Angel Delgado of Lane City and Mandi Peach and husband, Colton of Wharton, son, Sidney Newsom of Bay City, sisters, Stephanie Bear and husband, Steven of Boling and Janie McLain and husband, Aaron of El Campo, brothers, Demencio Rodriguez and Richard Rodriguez and wife, Susie all of Wharton, grandchildren, Rynleigh Peach, Corbin Peach, Bella Newsom, Dante Garza, Kaley Newsom and April Newsom.

Visitation scheduled for Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Wharton Funeral Home after 5:00 PM, with rosary recited at 7 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 29 at Wharton Funeral Home at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery.
