From Houston born 2/24/52 - survived by wife Joanne Mayes and 6 children - Christopher and Putri Mayes, Nathan Mayes, David and Chelsy Mayes, CaroleAnne and Joe Garza, Isaac Mayes and Jason Mayes as well as 5 grandchildren and sister Sandra Wason.
He was a faithful Man of the Word. Didn’t just talk - though he did a lot of talking - but he truly walked the walk. Altons greatest love was Jesus and spent his life in service to Him and others.
He was devoted to the study of Gods word and freely shared it with others. Especially at Restoration City where he spent 50 years sharing his love for God.
His next greatest joy was his family. He loved his children with everything he had and his grandchildren were the light of his life. “His lord said unto him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter into the joy of your lord.’” Matthew 25:23
