Agapita Machado

Agapita Machado (87), passed away to be with the Lord at her residence surrounded by her family on Thursday, December 2nd, 2021. Agapita was born on August 18th,1934 in Yorktown Tx.to Leandro & Dolores Martinez. 

She married Martin Barron Machado in 1958. Agapita had four children Ramon Alvarez, Benito Martin (Benny), Noe Armando & Eloisa Machado. She is preceded in death by her parents, siblings, Andrea Godines, Adan Ochoa, husband, son, Ramon, and granddaughter Selinda Alexis Lopez.

She enjoyed bingo, her novelas, cooking, making tamales every year for Christmas, and most importantly enjoying time with her family. 

Survivors include her children Benny Machado (Maria), Noe Machado, Eloisa Machado-Lopez (Paulo Lopez), daughter in law, Rosy Katz-Alvarez, long time caregiver/adopted daughter, Susie Vasquez, grandchildren Ramon Alvarez Jr. (Irma), Ruth Campbell (William), Alex Jerin Lopez, Paul Matthieu Lopez, Stacy Funes (Oscar), Michael Katz (Oralys), Annaiz Katz. And numerous other grandchildren, great grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. 

Visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m, on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at Wharton Funeral Home.  A Funeral Service will follow at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Wharton Funeral Home.  Burial will follow services at Wharton Cemetery.  Serving as Pallbearers will be Benny Machado, Noe Machado, Paulo Lopez, Ramon Alvarez Jr., Alex Jerin Lopez, Paul Matthieu Lopez.   Honorary Pallbearers will be Eloisa Machado-Lopez, Maria Guadalupe Machado, Rosy Katz-Alvarez, Susie Vasquez, Irma Alvarez, Mikayla Alaniz, Stacy Funes, Michael Katz & Annaiz Katz.
