Jackson Early Manuel Boggus Mr. Jackson Boggus, age 39 of Wharton died early Sunday morning, June 10, 2012 from injuries sustained in a Houston automobile accident. He was born on March 5, 1973 in El Campo, Texas, a son of Skeater Boggus and Manuela Bijarro. Jackson was a longtime resident of Wharton, having attended school here. He worked as a machinist for numerous years. He enjoyed lifting weights body building, and writing his book of memories. He especially enjoyed helping with his church prison ministry. Jackson was a Christian by faith, being a member of C.O.O.L. ( Christ Over Our Life) Church in Houston for many years. Funeral services were held at 7 pm Wednesday, June 13, 2012, at Wharton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Boyd Harrell officiating. Cremation followed the services. Survivors include his parents, Skeater Boggus of Leakey, Mother and step father, Manuela Bijarro and husband Daniel of Wharton, sons, Sebastian Boggus and Aaron Boggus both of El Campo, the mother of his children, Rose Hughes of El Campo, sisters, Margie Horta and husband Robert of Boling, Diane Michaux and husband Maurice of Rosenberg, and Robin Ihmaid and husband Wael of San Antonio and numerous nieces nephews and friends. Funeral services were under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Home.
