JOHNNY LEE BEARRICK Johnny Lee Bearrick, age 50 of Bay City, died Saturday, May 26, 2012, at his residence following a brief battle with Pancreatic Cancer. He was born on November 8, 1961, in Wharton, Texas the son of the late Joe Palmer Bearrick and Christine Marie Sanders Bearrick. Mr. Bearrick was raised in the Wharton area and attended school in Boling. He was a carpenter by trade. Johnny enjoyed fishing, camping and being outdoors with his family. He was a member of College Heights Baptist Church in Wharton. In addition to his parents, Johnny was preceded in death by his sister, Sharon Strickland and brother, Joe Bearrick. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 31, 2012, at the chapel of Wharton Funeral Home in Wharton with Rev. Don Hurley officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery in Wharton. Survivors include his wife, Barbie Brewer, son, Travis Bearrick and daughter, Elizabeth Brewer, all of Bay City, sisters, Darlene Byrd and husband Johnny, Janie Zahradnik, Joyce Brenk and Judy Wernly all of Wharton as well as numerous nieces, and nephews. Pallbearers will be Daryl Brenk, CJ Roberts, Daniel Zahradnik, Roger Wilson Michael Martinez and Gary Wooten. Honorary Pallbearer will be Johnny Wayne Byrd. He will be long remembered, and missed, by his many friends and large family for his many acts of kindness and thoughtfulness during his lifetime. In lieu of usual remembrances the family requests memorials to MD Anderson Pancreatic Cancer Research, 1515 Holcombe Blvd, Houston, Texas 77030. Funeral services are under the direction of the Wharton Funeral Home, Inc.
