Funeral Services for Lorine Marie Franek, 76, of Beasley, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at St Philip the Apostle Catholic Church, El Campo. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6:00pm until 8:00pm with a Rosary being recited at 7:00pm on Tuesday May 29, 2012 at the Wharton Funeral Home, Wharton. Lorine was born September 28, 1935 to William and Judith Pavlicek Cerny in El Campo. When she was a very young child she contracted polio. She passed away May 24, 2012 in Stafford. Lorine was raised on the Family Farm in the El Campo area and graduated from Crescent High School. After graduating she worked as a secretary for the ASCS Agriculture office in Wharton for many years She married Mr. Gerald Franek, Sr. on November 24, 1962. He preceded her in death on February 20, 2012. She enjoyed craftwork especially beadwork and floral arrangement. She also loved to bake and cook, and some of her most enjoyed times were spent fishing with Jerry and their children. In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her grandson, John William Pennell. Lorine is survived by her daughter, Laurie Pennell and Husband, Tommy of Needville, Son, David Franek, Jr., of Glen Flora and sister, Dorothy Mader of Wharton. Pallbearers will include: Brandon Adams, Tim White, Larry Cerny, Clarence(Bouncy)Cerny, Henry Smith and Al Cerny.
